About

Born in the Desert

My name is Hamada. I was born in the desert near Marsa Alam, into a Bedouin family that has lived on this land for generations. The desert taught me to read the stars, find water, and feel at home where most people see only sand. Today I have a family of my own — and I want my children to have the best education, while still learning how to live with the desert, the way I did. My greatest dream is simple: one day, when my children have found their own paths, to return to the desert for good. It’s where my heart has always been. Until then, I share it with travelers who want to see the real Marsa Alam.

Your Trip Stays in
Local Hands

There’s no big company behind these tours. The food on your tour is cooked fresh every day by an older couple from the village — traditional Egyptian meals, made by hand. They have no children of their own, and your visit means a real income and a place in the story. Your boat is run by local fishermen. Your desert guide is a Bedouin who grew up here. Every trip puts money directly into the hands of the people who live in Marsa Alam — fairly, with no middleman taking the biggest share. When you travel with me, you become part of that chain.
